I listened to this book. Read by the Queen herself. And it was everything.
It really was.
I was concerned at first, thinking this was just going to be another book where a celebrity brags about how much better their life is than yours. But then Oprah reminds you where she comes from. and then you start to feel the magic that is Oprah, and then it rubs off on you and makes you a more empowered person.
That's what happened to me while reading this book. I got encouraged. I was superwoman this week. Slaying at work, being an awesome mom, getting up early and going to bed late, making myself, my home, my career, my community better. My life tank has been feeling empty. And listening to Oprah's story, in her voice share her wisdom and personal life experiences blew wind underneath my wings this week.
She seaks of her best friend Gayle, working against obstacles, remembering to have gratitude, and to care for yourself and your body. Things everybody knows, but still needs to hear every now and again because life gets hard, and crazy, and it's good to have that remnder.
Recommendation: Read it! Especially if you need to be renewed, refueled, or rejuvenated.
Audience: Young Adults, Millenials and Beyond
