Chadwick Boseman - Black Panther (2018)

Chadwick played T'Challa in 2016's Captain America: Civil War, and I, along with the rest of Black Twitter, am eagerly awaiting the 2018 highly anticipated Panther starring Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Michael B. Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, and Phylicia Rashad - to name a few. But before all of this, Boseman narrated the audiobook Upstate by Kalisha Buckhanon, along with Heather Simms. This is a powerful and incredible story about a young man who kills his father and is sentenced to 10 years in prison. The story chronicles the evolution of this young couple's relationship and personal evolutions.

Simone Missick - Misty Knight (Luke Cage 2016)

Simone Missick gave an unforgettable performance portraying comic book bad ass Misty Knight in the Luke Cage series that premiered on Netflix in 2016. She also gives a riveting read of Love is the Drug by Alaya Dawn Johnson. I'm listening to this one as we speak, so be on the lookout for my review!

Wesley Snipes - Blade (1998) (2002) (2004)

Snipes has portrayed some of the most iconic roles in black cinema, but his portrayal of Blade stands out. The novel and audiobook Talon of God by Snipes and Ray Norman is set to be published on July 25, 2017. Mark your calendars!
