This book has been on my "To Read" list for forever, and I have finally finished it.

What a glorious and important book. Forwarded by Khalil Gibran Muhammad and chocked full of information - I devoured this book and was left wondering if Ms. Morris can do an edition every year....or at least every 4 years.

When people speak of the condition of African Americans, they are often throwing around stereotypes that have very little - to no basis in fact. This book is a thoroughly researched body of work that not only outlines the progress of African Americans, but also highlights the work that still needs to be done.

Recommendation: Read It!

Audience: Young Adults, Millenials and Beyond
